SUBMIT YOUR STORIES

There are many fascinating stories to be told about our Clan. We would love to publish your stories to all our Clan members, supporters and friends.

If you have an ancestor story from Scotland, or can write about what your family members did when they arrived in Australia, you can share it via the website. We are particularly interested in stories about MacGillivray women, who traditionally changed their name when getting married.

Flora McGillivray

Flora McGillivray (1877 – 1947)

Flora was born in Broadlands in 1877, daughter of Alexander McGillivray and Margaret Scouller. She was definitely in Western Australia in 1902 and 1903 and probably for longer. She had one child in Perth who only lived for a month. Flora married Wiliam Ralph when she was 39 in Sydney, NSW. They had no children.  Flora died in Smithfield, NSW in 1947.  She was sixty-nine years old and was buried at the Baptist cemetery there.
